In 2005, I graduated high school with honors from North Pontotoc Attendance Center in Ecru, MS. From there I went to Itawamba Community College in Fulton, MS and received my Associate's Degree. Then I went to William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, where I majored in English and minored in Spanish. I graduated cum laude in 2009. I am currently working on a Master of Education degree from William Carey University.

In 2009, I worked as a missionary in Grand Isle, Louisiana.

From 2009 - 2012, I worked as a substitute in various school districts, including a long-term substitute position teaching psychology and sociology.

From 2012 - 2014, I worked as a Spanish, Debate, and Public Speaking high school teacher at South Panola High School in Batesville, Mississippi. I also sponsored the high school newspaper.

In 2014, I started at Cottage Hill Christian Academy, teaching Spanish at the lower school.

This year, I am teaching Spanish 1, 2, 3, and 4.

I was born in Tupelo, MS on November 12, 1986. I grew up in a blended family, and my parents divorced when I was nine years old. A year later, my father died in a terrible car crash. I did not know the Lord at the time. My parents rarely went to church, and I was not raised in a traditional Christian family setting. My oldest brother, Steve, was just 23 at the time. He always lived with his mother in another state, and I rarely saw him. After our dad died, he started spending more time with me and my siblings. He had received Christ in his heart a year before, and he did not hesitate to tell us about Christ. At the age of 12, I asked Jesus to be my Savior after Steve witnessed to me. I still tell people that Steve has always been a great influence in my life. He discipled me and showed me what a Christian home looks like. Sometimes, I tell people he practically raised me. I thank God for using him in my life. Our family has transformed over the years because of God using him.

After becoming a Christian, my life was steered in a godly way, and I decided upon graduation to attend William Carey University, a private Baptist College in Hattiesburg, MS. I knew it was God's will to go there even though it was far from home. There, I met my husband, Timothy. We married on June 26, 2010 at Gulf Shores. In July of 2014, we moved to the Alabama coast to be near family. (My parents and sister moved here in 2005.) Timothy is also currently working at Cottage Hill as the Bible teacher.
